Life is Beautiful 2023 Survival Guide

The Essential Details:

Are you attending Life is Beautiful this year? I am, and as a first-timer, the idea can be daunting. Things like transportation, the proper bag to bring, and if it will rain have plagued my mind all week. Below is anything and everything you need to know for this weekend's festival to ensure you (and me) have the best weekend ever.

The festival is in Downtown Las Vegas from September 22nd to 24th, 2023. The footprint extends East from Las Vegas Blvd. and Fremont, taking over businesses, bars, venues, parking lots, and more with art, music, and activations. During the festival, tickets are available online in General Admission and Single Day Passes.

Ultimate Checklist:

If you’re unsure what to bring, download our essentials checklist. Save this to your phone so not a single thing is missed.

Hydration packs are required to be empty of all liquid with a capacity of no more than 2.5L/160 cubic inches. Backpacks with hydration bladders are not allowed.

Weather Considerations:

Weather for Life is beautiful 2023

This weekend's forecast calls for moderate conditions and no rainfall. Stay updated by checking hourly forecasts each morning, and be prepared for the shift in temperature as the festival transitions to the evening. Bring layers that offer sun protection and can keep you warm at night. Vegas can have unpredictable weather patterns and sudden rain during this season. A waterproof layer can help prevent unexpected weather from ruining your weekend.

Transportation:

Traveling into Downtown Las Vegas can be chaotic during the festival. Park and shuttle passes are available every year, but they sell quickly. To avoid driving in, you can check RTC routes to see how you can get to the festival without any parking or traffic hassle. The central RTC bus station is less than ten blocks from the guest entrance to Life is Beautiful.

Consider using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft for convenient transportation in and out of DTLV. Be aware of high volumes at the end of the festival and surge pricing. The further you can safely walk away from the festival area, the more likely you will find available drivers and lower parking.

If you plan to drive, research parking options near the festival venue and be prepared for high costs. Lots will have one-day special event fees and fill up quickly near the festival entrance. Halo.Car offers a service to deliver vehicles anywhere in Las Vegas so you can easily drive yourself. This option means you can drive into DTLV, park somewhere legal and short-term, and the car is collected. This means no high long-term parking fees and puts you in control of your transportation.

Layout and Schedule:

Download the official festival app for up-to-date schedules, stage times, and artist information. Be sure to obtain a festival map offline to familiarize yourself with the layout, stages, and amenities. You can find this on the app, but you should download it as an image in case of service disruption.

Establish meeting points at major landmarks with your group in case you get separated. Or, if you plan to explore individually, setting meeting times and locations can be easier than calling or texting in the crowds.

Plan which artists and performances you want to see and create a schedule. You can view the full schedule at lifeisbeautiful.com. The crowds are often packed for popular bands and headliners, so arrive early to secure a good spot.
